Who We Are

NEEMA Corporation is a tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a 2-year demonstrated commitment to homeownership, translation/interpretation, community services, and positive immigrant and development. The work we do also includes achieving housing goals such as repairing credit, locating cash for a down payment, and connecting newcomers to public services.

The following three activities will guide the project:

1. Homebuyer Counseling -This will include counselor-to-client assistance that addresses the unique circumstance of the individual or family and housing issues. The program will focus on overcoming specific obstacles such as repairing credit, locating cash for down payment, recognize predatory lending practices, and understanding fair lending and fair housing requirement.

2. Homebuyer Education – This section will cover different homeownership training topics that include home buying process, how to maintain a home, budgeting, the importance of good credit, and other home-buying related issues.

3. Foreclosure Prevention Counseling – The program is designed to help our clients gain skills on how to avoid foreclosure. Thus, our mission is not only to transform the lives of newcomers but also to support the building of social capital of the community we serve.
